Soul Defenders :
Producer Coxsone Dodd employed a bunch of talented musicians in the early 70s, providing the backing for many of the classic hits. The Soul Defenders consisted of Jah Privy, Val Whittaker, Vin Morgan, Clifton Gibbs, Festus Walker, and occasionally Leroy Sibbles, Alton Ellis and Freddy McKay. Their stay at Studio One was a short one. The album "Soul Defenders At Studio One" samples 15 of their best cuts, including excellent sides by Freddie McKay.
