Ras Michael :
Ras Michael spearheaded the drive to bring the message of Rastafarianism to an international audience. In the early sixties he formed his own Sons Of Negus, primarly a group of drummers and singers. Throughout the sixties and early seventies there was only limited interest but the growth of Rastafarianism led to increased attention in their recordings. After having retired from recording work for a while, Ras Michael resurrected his musical career in the late eighties.
