Laurel Aitken :
The Cuban born, Jamaican raised veteran singer Laurel Aitken started his musical career way back in the '40s. He had his big break in 1959 with "Little Sheila", which became a number one hit in Jamaica. After moving to England, Laurel Aitken established himself as the "Godfather of Ska" thus becoming one of the main figures in the growth of the so-called Bluebeat ska. Aitken has continued to record and perform since.
