Jahmel :
Jahmel was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and migrated to the United States at a young age. There he was discovered by his producer, Royale Anderson while performing in a dancehall in Rochester, New York. They went back to Jamaica to record his first LP, "Watchful Eyes." The original Wailers Band, featuring the Barrett brothers, Family Man on bass and Carlie on drums, backed this set. The album did fairly well in Europe, but the lack of promotion hurted the sales and cheated reggae purists from hearing a masterpiece.
