Dona V :
Donovan George Pinnock aka Dona V was born in the district of Victoria Town in the Parish of Manchester, Jamaica WI. Although he begun singing at a very young age, Dona V initially started his musical career as a deejay in the early eighties. It proved definitely not his calling and he decided to start singing again. In 1986 he recorded his first song for producer Harry J., however his first releases were by New York based producer Jah C. During the nineties Dona V recorded several singles, but it lasted until the year 2000 before the first album "Cry For Tomorrow" (Studio One) was released. Dona V's singing style is strongly reminiscent of Cocoa Tea.
