Chaka Demus :
Chaka Demus, born John Taylor in 1965 in Kingston, comes from the ranks of King Jammy's Super Power sound. Formerly known as Nicodemus Jr., the gruff-voiced deejay enjoyed Jamaican chart success with cuts for Penthouse, Black Scorpio and Jammys. He also recorded an album with Shabba Ranks, but he achieved an international breakthrough when he joined forces with a young singer called Pliers.
