Stevie Face

Every once in a while there comes an artist that transcends the norm, with vocal quality and mastery 'par excel lance.' A songwriter extraordinaire who not only swoons ladies with lyrics that embodies matters of the heart but tackles the plight of our youth. Lyrically charged with the "gift of voice" this fresh and vibrant and vibrant artist is none other than Stevie Face.

Born Anwar Hanchard in 1975, Stevie Face grew up in the reggae nurturing ground of Jamaica. Schooled in the music from an early age by listening to reggae's great forbears like Jacob Miller & Dennis Brown, Stevie Face's star talent began to emerge at an early age. After lifting his voice as a member of church, primary and high school choirs, his love for music and unquestionable vocal skills inevitably locked him into a musical career. Since his debut performance at a major reggae event in 1996, Stevie Face has ignited a musical flame that continues to burn increasingly brighter.

With the release of his first major single "Teach The Children" in 1997 the musical world began to take notice. Since them he ahs dominated the radio airwaves across Jamaica release after release and met chart success early 2001 with the international hit "I'm In Love." This chartbuster spent 17 weeks in the top ten and reached the number 3 position in Jamaica, number 8 in New York, number 5 in France, and is still on the Jamaican charts for 29 weeks running. After an impressive opening performance for Luther Vandross and follow-up chart assault with his chilling remake of "Oh Happy Day" (reached number 2 on the New York reggae singles charts) the stage was set for his long awaited debut album "Coming At You." The first class production quality and musicianship on this album placed it in a league above the rest. Stevie Face's star quality attracts the best of his trade and joining him on this set were international stars Junior Kelly and Bushman.

Since its release "Coming At You" has burned up the radio waves across Jamaica, New York, Florida, Toronto and London and was one of the most talked about debut reggae albums for 2001. This is what the music world has been waiting for and "Coming At You" is a torchlight burning a bright path for an artist on the threshold of greatness. An excellent stage performer, Stevie Face will take any audience to a musical high.
