Ed "ER" Robinson



In the Reggae Recording industry, Ed 'ER' Robinson has proven that he is able to deliver some high-quality music. His version of Bob Dylan's "Knocking On Heaven's Door" was his biggest hit internationally to date. Robinson is also known as a drummer and businessman. He is the owner of TifTam Recording Studios (Jamaica), E2 Recording Studios, E2 Records and E.R.M.A. Entertainment (New York) stands out as a beacon of hope for internationally known and up coming artist.

The performer and musician, Ed Robinson is undoubtedly, Jamaica's most productive musician. Robinson has used his hard earned performance, producing and engineering monies to invest in the music industry. His facility comprises of production and recording studios. It also includes CD dubbing machinery and a dub plate services, this places him in a deep-seated position within the music industry.

Robinson has been off the reggae circuit for a while working on the West Coast in the production and engineering field with music luminaries such as Snoop Dogg and Warren G. In the reggae field he has toured and worked in his studios with Merciless, the late Dennis Brown, Aaron Hall formerly of Guy, Sharief, E-40, Shabba Ranks, Cat Coore of Third World and prepared remixes with Maxie Priest to name a few. Now he is back in his East Coast studios taking his business to higher heights. At the present moment he has brought into his company A&R reps, road managers, rappers, singers and deejays.

For the latter part of 2002 and this year Robinson has been receiving numerous reviews for his work. Knocking and Golden Hen on Michigan's label. Ballistic Affair project has been heating up both radio and television and has caused a great deal of discussion. Another one of his undertakings that has caused much dialogue is "Ebony Eyes" by Don Angelo, which went to No. 1 on the New York charts. On the hip hop side he has been working with NFL player Damien Robinson of the Seattle Seahawks (formerly of the New York Jets) with his group, Wall Street who are in the process of signing with a major label. Another is R&B singer, Aaron Jones, whose music has been in the New York charts at No. 3. He has also worked with Mesha a female R&B who just got signed to a major label. Speak to any artist and you will hear the same thing. "Ask ER for a beat, an improvement to ones own beat or how to do something, you will get what you want without any hesitation". Those who have worked with ER always thank him with bringing out their best.

Robinson has completed an album and will be putting the finishing touches. Thereafter, he is hoping to go back on the road for a while then concentrate fully into the production side of the business and also provide artist with Management, Bookings, Promotions and Distribution. His company will bring artist in, sign them and approve the project. Robinson further stated that he has formed his label he has an artist by the name of Skina who is releasing his first single titled "Shake off a Fassy". He further indicated that his company presently works with artist in the Reggae, R&B, Rap, Hip-Hop and Soca music and will continue doing so.
